I'm not sure what we did or didn't consider but I don't think we chose to go to war just off the top of our head...it was a reaction to the behavior of the dictator of Iraq at the time. He had choices and he made the wrong one. Whether the choice we made in reaction was right or wrong I do not profess to know.

I don't know if he would speak out against the U.S. troops being there or not...I am just assuming he is an elected official that was elected by the Iraqi people and has allegiance to them and their best interests more so than the interests of the U.S.
